Non-Profit Website Redesign
We worked with our stakeholder at rolfusa.org to redesign the user interface and flow of their website. During the interview process the stakeholder confirmed the original website was designed and implemented by someone with very little experience with web design and no knowledge of UX/UI practices.

My Role
I was responsible for creating the the below problem statement based on our research, the user flow for testing, writing usability test plans, sketching our storyboard, and the style tile and guide. I also managed my teams efforts through trello board and creating the case study. I collaborated with my team on user research, paper and lo-fi prototyping,  information architecture, brainstorming, and hi-fi prototype

User Flow/Usability Test Plan
I created our user test flow based on the assumption that the user was looking to make donations, and volunteer time. Our usability tests made it clear that the donation process was convoluted and hard to navigate.

Storyboard
I sketched the storyboard based on our user wanting to give back to the community by way of donating his time and money to a non-profit organization.

Style Tile/Guide
The basis of our style was focused on accessibility. We included simple minimalistic elements that were easy on the eyes of all possible users.

Hi-Fi Mockup
We believe that we were able to simplify the look of the original site and improve the user flow in our final hi-fi design pictured below.

Summary
The main challenge in this project was creating a user flow that was simple and provided a clear path. Through user testing we made umultiple iterations to accessibility and flow that lent to our final design. My main takeaway was that there is a clear relationship between website design and user flow. I learned that a simple layout and a clear user path are key to creating a user friendly site which leads to better experience for stakeholders and users alike.
